What I do

I am Alexandre Soubrier, a motion designer based in Paris.
I make short animated films, for your conferences, your movies, your social networks.

I am self-taught in graphic design and motion design in particular. I have an engineering education, which allows me to handle complexity more efficiently.

I am passionate about illustration and animation. My masters come from comics: Moebius, Druillet, Loisel, Jodorowsky, Peeters, Guarnido, Boucq,... but also from animtion: Ghibli, Disney, Pixar, Ocelot, Grimault, Katsuhiro Ôtomo, Satoshi Kon,... from children's illustration and traditional art.

This passion led me to set up the Exquises Esquisses podcast as a matter of course, and to meet some of my favorite artists.

I started my journey by creating websites on Adobe Flash (now Adobe Animate). I won an FWA. And then Flash died. So I worked as a web designer, UX designer and product designer.
Finally I came back to animation with motion design in 2017.

My goal is to create animations in a variety of styles that make sense, communicate an idea, or tell a story. I like 2D techniques as much as 3D techniques.

Apart from that, I play guitar and have worked in several bands. I was part of an Afrobeat band for 9 years.
I enjoy tennis, climbing, board games and adventure video games. To find out the rest, I'd be delighted to discuss it with you.
